It's Do or Die for India

Its Do or Die match for India today. When they face England in the Super 8 match tonight, India would be hoping to repeat the performance of 2007 T20 world cup where India crashed Engalnd in similar situation. Yuvraj was the star for India in that match and would be England's main target today. But T20 is all about the better performer on the pitch. Match against West Indies should be realty check for Team India where top order batsmen failed miserably, notwithstanding the good fielding display by West Indies though.

First of all I do not expect India to retain the T20 title, but still India can show their spirit. Either South Africa or Srilanka will win T20 this year.

India should get a total of 180 or above to defeat England in this crucial match if they bat first. Pieterson, Bopara and Collingwood would be the players to lookout for England.

If England is put to bat first, India should try to restrict them to 160 which is gettable for Indian batting lineup. Gambir should play a mentor role today (and not Dhoni!) and allow other batsmen to go for their shots. Dhoni should start hitting the ball as he used hit before. I cannot understand why he takes too much time for settling down in T20 where even 1 ball makes big difference. Raina and Yuvraj hold the key for India today. And if Yusuf gets going, England can start preparing for next T20.

Bowlers, I think RP Singh need to be given a chance in place of Ishant Sharma. RP might be expensive, but he gets wickets at crucial points. He is lot better than Ishant in T20.

For England, Anderson holds the key.

Hope for a close-finishing match today and I wish India good luck.
